Khalia is the daughter of Danielle Bush and the grand-daughter of Crystal Bulumbara, who is the daughter of Gordon Bulumbara. Khalia’s moiety is Duwa and her skin is Galidjan. Her clan (dawaro) is Bagala.
Khalia’s traditional language is Jawoyn but her day-to-day language is Kriol. She speaks perfect English. She went to Barunga School and got many prizes when she was young.
Since leaving school, Khalia has worked at the creche with young children. She became assistant teacher at Barunga School and has also worked in the library and as a community centrelink agent. She has also worked in the school kitchen, providing food for the school kids.
Khalia is very interested in the wider world. She plans to take her kids to the theme parks at the Gold Coast. Though Khalia is still young, she is very responsible.
