Chawickâs traditional lands are Barrmino clan lands in Ngalkbon country, between Weemol and west Arnhem Land. His traditional language is Ngalkbon but he speaks Kriol day to day. His skin is Wamut.
Chadwick was born in Katherine and he lives in Barunga. His father was Peter Koimala, who was a Ngalkbon man. His skin was Gela. His mother was Edna Jungulwanga, who was a Maila lady. Edna was the first Aboriginal teacher at Barunga School, during the 1980s. Her skin was Bulanjan.
He was a senior health worker at Oenpelli from the 1990s until 2002. He is married to Elizabeth Fredericks. They have five children: Shaylene, Denisha, Peter, Hilda and Meisha.
Chadwick is a member of Barunga School Council and he assists with school activities.
