The Barunga Aboriginal Knowledge Centre was established as a safe way for us to earn an income while still living in our communities by conducting research about Aboriginal society and culture. We are committed to two-way learning. We want to teach about our culture and we also want to learn about what happens in the wider world, beyond Barunga.
We are inviting people who want to conduct research with us to contact us. We have experience in research and teaching, and on a wide range of topics ranging from art and cultural heritage to health and from education to government systems and policy. During the time of COVID-19 we have developed a system in which we are conducting research remotely for researchers in other parts of the country.
