Jessala’s traditional lands are Bolmo clan lands in Kakadu Stage 3. Her traditional language is Jawoyn but she speaks Kriol. Jessala’s moiety is Yirritja and her skin is Bangirn.
Jessala has been working at the Barunga creche for three years where she looks after babies and small children.
She works in education of children between one and five years promoting healthy eating, manners and reading.
Jessala’s husband is Troy Friday. She has three children: Adam, Lilly and Logan. Jessala’s grandmother (mother’s mother) was Lilly Willika. Her grandfather was Sandy Willika.
Jessala is a good cook. She helps with cooking for the field schools at Barunga.
